What is it? Basically, this release of AWE4 is all the previous ones rolled into one. In other words, Ive combined what was 2 seperate releases into one.

However, whats most important with this release is that Ive optimized the code: Ive reduced the code loops significantly. My test servers run far more smoothly now, and players are receiving significantly better FPS now.

These are the main differences in this release:

1. There are now 5 "modes" in 1 mod:

* PowerRank - persistent custom classes. Everyone starts at level 54 (Commander).
* Modwarfare - IW's stock out-of-the-box mod, converted to AWE4.
* Stock Ranking - rank up with unlocks as you go. Just like the stock game.
* ForceWeapons - Force Players to have only the weapons, attachments, and perks you want them to have.
* AWE OldSchool - IW's oldschool game mode, converted to AWE4.


Control of these modes is at the top of awe.cfg.

NB: NO 2 MODE DVARS SHOULD EVER BE SET AT THE SAME TIME.

This is fundamental to the running of the mod.

2. A new dvar for shortrange nades. This halves the throwable distance for any grenade type in the game (stun, flash, smoke, or frag). Please see in awe.cfg under Server Settings (Misc)

3. A new dvar for longrange sniper rifles. This extends the range for all sniper rifles beyond the stock max distance. Please see in awe.cfg under Server Settings (Misc)

4. By request, Ive brought back the Server Info Menus.

5. All relevant dvars are now dvardef-friendly, that is, they can now be set to be map or gametype specific. This means, for example, that you can have a different MOTD for each map or gametype. Or, as another example, The Admin rules on the Server Info menu can now be set seperately for different maps or gametypes. So, you can now set different rules for different maps or gametype.

As the dvars are now all dvardef friendly, the "workaround" I mentioned in this post of mine about the server command overflow problem:

can now be implimented. For those that run rented servers, this will either emilinate the problem, or reduce it so drastically that it wont pose a serious threat to running AWE4 in PowerRank mode.

Leider laufen einige Maps nicht, die vorher mit der Powerrank Version 2.0.2 einwandfrei liefen. unglücklich

Tally hat es gefixt, er hat die 'Short Range Nades' wieder aus der mod.ff rausgenommen.
Jetzt soll alles wieder funktionieren mit den Custommaps. Freude

Funktioniert immer noch nicht. Ausserdem hat er die zwei iwd's verwechselt. In der shortrange.zip ist die iwd mit den normalen Granaten; in der anderen iwd die shortrange-Granaten.

Ich hab jetzt auch nochmal getestet und von den 8 Maps, crashen jetzt nur noch 2 den Server.

bei der mp_i2 hatte ich aber gleich bei release ohne awe probleme - evtl problem mit der größe (oder ist das kein prob mehr)?

Nein, die zweite Version (mp_i2) war bei Linux kein Problem; ob mit oder ohne AWE.
